Milky Way Farm hosts birthday party tours which are fun and educational for children of all ages. Our party tours emphasize close interaction with our farm animals, assisting with cow and calf feeding as well as sharing in evening milking time. The birthday child receives special attention throughout the visit to make the birthday a happy childhood memory.

Some of the tour highlights are: children bottle-feeding the young calves by hand while learning about calf health and nutrition; birthday child collecting the eggs in the farm hen house while children learn about the wonders of chickens and egg production; and children assisting the farmer by distributing grain and hay to each of the milking cows while learning about cow nutrition, milk production and farm crops.

Cost of the tour is $10.00 per child - no charge for chaperones. Length of tour can be up to 11/2 hours. Space is available at the Creamery (additional cost) for sharing of birthday presents and party treats, provided by the birthday family before or after the tour. Indoor or outdoor areas available, depending on the weather. Birthday party tours are available April thru November (except October), preferably on weekends.

Feedback from parents centers on the uniqueness of this birthday party experience.
